Are you struggling with dating stagnation? This is what you can do.
Do you feel stuck in a dating rut? Feeling tired of dating because of a string of failed dates or relationships is a common feeling.
I understand you.
It can be hard to get motivated to go on another date. Let alone feel excited, when you know it will be with someone who is a complete dud. You can’t predict how a date will go until you’re on it. If you’ve had a bad dating history, you’re likely to be discouraged.
I’m going to give you a dating challenge to make you feel more excited about the process.
What if, instead of going to a boring restaurant for dinner that you hate, you planned a fun date? Contrary to what many people think, it’s not the guy who has to plan the date.
Why not plan a fun date that includes activities you enjoy?
Here’s a good example:
If you don’t like bowling or mini-golf then do not agree to go on a date at a bowling alley. If you enjoy painting or pool, invite your date out to a class in painting or for a night of billiards. Plan a date you will enjoy, even if the relationship doesn’t work out. You will feel more relaxed, more yourself and more authentic.
You can use these journal prompts to get you excited about dating and end your dating stagnancy.
- What are the five things that you enjoy most? They can be hobbies.
- What would you consider a perfect date? Don’t be afraid of being specific!
- What activities or interests do you want to share with a future partner?
